Hardworking and passionate, My-Linh holds a BS in business management with a dual concentration in accounting and business analytics from Babson College in Boston. After graduating, she embarked on a career path that started as an external auditor until she transitioned into her current role as a senior sales analyst. “In this capacity, I engage in analytics, conduct strategic thinking for the company, contribute to innovation efforts, and provide essential support to both customers and cross-functional teams,” My-Linh says. Her professional journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for driving meaningful impact in the business landscape.
My-Linh initially delved into tutoring during her college years, particularly when she was enrolled in accounting courses. “I discovered a genuine enjoyment in explaining complex concepts to my friends and peers,” she recalls. “As my proficiency and reputation in this realm grew, I naturally evolved into a tutor.” My-Linh loves the gratification that comes from helping others comprehend challenging topics. “Witnessing the ‘aha’ moments and contributing to someone's academic success is immensely fulfilling,” she says. Throughout her tutoring career, she has taught finance, managerial accounting, and operations.
“I strive for an interactive and personalized style of teaching, emphasizing hands-on and visual approaches,” My-Linh says when asked about her tutoring style. “I help students through problem-solving, encouraging them to come to solutions independently. My rationale behind this approach is to foster critical thinking skills and also empower students to be confident and grasp the concepts actively.” My-Linh believes in adapting her teaching style to the individual needs of each student, tailoring her methods to accommodate diverse learning preferences. “My philosophy of teaching revolves around the idea that education is not just about transferring knowledge but also about cultivating curiosity, aiming for students to enjoy the process of learning,” she says.
In high school and college, My-Linh ran track and field and cross country. As a student, she was an AAFCPAs Accounting Scholar and Leadership Academy Development recipient; she received the Dean's Award as well as a scholarship for "meritorious achievement."
Outside of work, she enjoys working on crochet projects, hitting the gym, and staying updated on the latest seasons of The Bachelorette/The Bachelor/Bachelor in Paradise. “I like to crochet in the winter and hike in the summer! I also love packaged ramen!”
