PrepNow Tutor - Fatima O.
With over three years of tutoring experience, Fatima has taught subjects as diverse as physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, and writing; she has also worked with high school students, teaching mainly algebra and geometry. Her background is in neuroscience as well as medical anthropology. During this gap year she is working as a medical assistant and substitute teacher. While an undergraduate, she won many awards, including the Michigan Health Science Undergraduate Research Academy Presentation Award and the AAUW Marge Powell Leadership Award.
Fatima's teaching style is mainly composed of a hybrid process: she listens to the needs of the student, while also asking questions, and assigns particular problems based on areas that need improvement. She engages in honesty, flexibility, and patience, and works to share her many experiences with students when relevant. Fatima considers herself an active learner who is always up for adventure. She is committed to making sure her students are happy and content with what they have achieved.
In high school, Fatima participated in Key Club, National Honor Society, and soccer. Currently she keeps herself busy as a major foodie and going on nature walks. She once had a pet goat!
